hello,
so the first:
I installed software called PEBuilder (preinstalled environment builder). It says, that it can do from windows xp/2003 installation bootable CD, and it allows lots of plugins (applications) for it.
But, Do you have any experiences with it? As I brovsed it's pages, it seems that it's some hibrid system based on windows, or, that it isn't full windows system.
PLS, wite.
And an other problem.
My friend wanted to access gmail account by my thunderbird - because web interface was terribly slow. But we realised, that she hasn't pop3 access enabled.
So I deleted her account and everything seemed to be ok.
But, when I launch thundrbird, it allways asks me for password and in menu receive new messages is still her account.
What to do?
thanks,
Vojta

Oh, I'm terribly sorry - I removed the second problem with thunderbird.
That was only my stupidity.
But first question still need answer.

Pebuilder is part of a project geared mainly towards sys admins run by someone called bart. Essentially it is windows but just in a very stripped down way as it requires you to point it at a windows disk or the setup files on your harddrive. In 2005 microsoft stated that it was actually legal but I think bart found a loophole or something as its still going strong now.
And now i'll tell you the bit that you don't want to here ... ... Theres no supportfor sound drivers - disregard anything that you might have interprited as saying that there is because there just isn't.
However, if you are still interested in creating a live cd, hypertheticly of course, if someone sent the right packets to the right servers they may be able to obtain a copy of windows xp embedded which lets you build a componentised version of windows which is burnable onto a cd and also has sound support.
There are also guides as to how to make windows 98 live cd's but again i'm not sure on the legality so no links from me i'm afraid - but have a google, its not hard.
Hth.
